Volunteers' Week 2023: a huge thank you to all our volunteers!
01 June 2023
Today marks the beginning of Volunteers’ Week and we’ll be spending this period showing our appreciation and celebrating everything they do to make a difference at our hospitals.Last year, 569 volunteers spent a combined 18,162 hours of their time delivering meals, accommodating visitors, taking part in activities with patients, and more.
Our incredibly popular Youth Volunteering Programme also made a return for the first time since the pandemic, helping hundreds more young people gain valuable skills and experience while making a big difference to their community.
“We’re incredibly grateful to all of you – whether you’re in three times a week or once a month, your contributions are felt across the Trust.”
Chris Neal, Head of Volunteering at Imperial Health Charity
Chris Neal, Head of Volunteering at the charity, said “From retirees to students, our volunteers come from all walks of life and we’re delighted with the impact they’ve been having across our five hospitals and satellite sites.
“We regularly hear from staff how much the volunteers are a valued part of the team and a pleasure to work alongside and we’re looking forward to expanding and improving the programme throughout the coming year.

We’ll be sharing more about our community of volunteers throughout the week, but if you’ve had a great experience with an Imperial Health Charity volunteer that you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you!
